Parade

This weekend we were in our local Cottage Grove Halloween Parade. We are pleased to announce that we won 1st PLACE for Halloween Spirt. We had an awesome day setting up our Haunted Float pulled by our Haunted Truck.

We tossed out 8 large bags of candy and could have used 4 more. We also handed out over 400 flyer's to encourage people to come by our haunted house. It was very fun and we would like to thank the following people for their efforts/help during the parade.

Bonnie & Larry (Grandma in truck tossing out candy & Grandpa, walking handing out flyers)

Scott & Betsy (Scott drove the haunted truck as his Scary clown, we saw a lot of people pointing at "the clown driver", Betsy handed out a ton of flayers)

Brian & Holly (Holly got all three of the boyz there, the two oldest were in back of the truck tossing out the candy with cousins Nick and MattMatt, Brian was a scary guy who scared a lot of kids, he would tease them with Candy then yell at them when they took it, it was funny)

Gonzo (he was an awesome scary guy handing out candy)

Amy and Leslie for their help decorating and handing out flyer's, Leslie was very cute.

See some of our pics, wicked fun.(BELOW)

Update on the Haunted house-the Driveway now shows some signs of life as most of the tunnels are up! We just sat down tonight and generated our "to do list" it is still long but WILL be done by Friday, our first nite of scarring.

BOOOOO!!!!

Newspaper

For those of you in the Cottage Grove area, watch for us in next weeks Bulletin. We had Toni from the paper out the other night to take a few photos and interview us. While she did say we won't get a full article this year (last year we were on the front page) she did say the paper is going to due a full page of Halloween events in Cottage Grove and we will be listed.

We also had the Pioneer Press stop out the other evening and I am trying to follow up with him to see about getting something in there. I will let you know if we are going to be in that.

Don't forget the Halloween parade is this Saturday at 11:00 in Cottage Grove so you HAVE to make it. Weather is suppose to be 'ok' so bring the kids and get some candy.

Set up has been slowed a little due to the weather but rest assured, we will be up and ready only 9 days from now..........BOOOOOO!

Video of the Haunt Show

So, my previous post I posted a few of our own pics that we took of the Haunt Show in St. Louis. I thought it would be fun to post a few videos that they put together as well. Here they are:

Some of our inspiration

People always are asking us where our inspiration comes from and some of our ideas. Well, that question isn't the easiest to answer. But, this March we did travel to St. Louis to a national Haunt Show. It was awesome to say the least, and a few of our new "scares" this year came from stuff we saw there and thus built/created ourselves. See some of the pics below.
